Noodles with Peas and Minced Pork were a fairly common noodle dish in China, with a rather distinctive flavor. They were generally savory and salty, served with peas cooked until soft, and the whole bowl had a very pleasant texture. Of the breakfasts Heath had tried, this was one he liked quite a bit. He had also thought of a solution to the dish's saltiness.
Naturally, the solution was Pea Shoots soup. Eating a steaming bowl of Noodles with Peas and Minced Pork, then holding a small bowl of Pea Shoots soup and sipping it slowly, had a charm all its own, especially in weather this cold.
Making Noodles with Peas and Minced Pork was not particularly complicated. Heath would normally have needed to cook the peas ahead of time, but with Dialga's Pressure Cooker, even that step had been simplified considerably. Before long, he brought out several finished bowls and set them on the table. But seeing Ralts watching curiously beside him left him a little conflicted again.
Could Ralts eat? Heath had never really tested it, but now he knew the answer: Ralts could not eat. She could pick up the food with her hands, but once she put it in her mouth, her expression looked as though she were chewing air, and some noodles ended up on the floor.
Heath was somewhat puzzled. He had served a customer before who was a ghost, but that customer had been able to eat successfully. What was more, the food that customer ate would spoil and rot afterward, which had revealed a little secret about ghost customers to Heath. Yet Ralts was also a ghost, and she could not eat. Heath could only give her bowl of Noodles with Peas and Minced Pork to Snorlax.
