Heath had previously obtained the Reincarnation Eyes, and those special eyes occasionally allowed him to see people who should no longer have existed in this world-in plain terms, ghosts. Still, ghosts were perfectly normal in the Pokémon world. After all, this place even had Ghost Pokémon, and Heath had visited the Distortion World before and seen the unusual ghosts there. So he was quite calm about seeing a ghost this time, without much stirring inside him.
People said seeing a ghost for the first time felt rather novel, but after that, it stopped seeming like much of anything. Besides, this man looked fairly ordinary. There was nothing bizarre about his appearance, nor was he taking off his head and playing with it in his hands or anything like that. He simply looked like a man who had stayed up far too much, with a pale face and very dark circles under his eyes. Other than that, there was nothing unusual about him.
Heath even thought that if someone dropped this man into an internet café, the attendant would probably thoughtfully cover him with a blanket and let him get some proper sleep. After all, his face looked much like those of people who had stayed up for far too long.
"Sir?" Heath looked at the man sitting with several other men and could not help calling out softly. His voice was very quiet, but he was quite certain the man should have been able to hear him. After all, Heath had previously discovered that ghosts had extremely keen hearing, which was why he had only asked so softly. Sure enough, the next second, the man turned to look at Heath. When Heath nodded at him, the man stood up in surprise, his face full of disbelief.
"You can see me?"
