Although Mew was a rather unusual Mythical Pokémon, Mew was relatively withdrawn and not particularly easy to get along with, so even Ho-Oh's relationship with Mew was not all that close. Much of the time, Mew gave them the impression of an autistic child, or rather, a particularly solitary child, so Ho-Oh really did not know Mew all that well. But hearing now that Mew had actually given Heath something genuinely surprised Ho-Oh a little. After all, given Mew's personality, it was hard to imagine just how close someone would have to get to Mew before Mew would be willing to give them a present.
"So, Ho-Oh, what do you think this is? I feel like it looks a little like something from Zapdos and the others." Heath looked at the bird egg before him, then glanced at Ho-Oh and asked.
"...Honestly, I don't know either. I've never seen anything like this, after all. You see, although Zapdos and the others can reproduce, the eggs they lay never look like this. I think I might need to consult Lugia about this." Ho-Oh shook her head. She really did not know the answer, and something this strange was so rare that even she felt she did not really understand where it had come from. Still, Ho-Oh knew that strange-looking creations like this generally had some connection to humans.
Take Shadow Lugia from before, for example. He, too, was a strange creation caused by humans, and if that day... Now that she thought about it, Ho-Oh suddenly remembered that they had only found Shadow Lugia that day because of Heath. And now Heath had once again been the first to find this strange bird egg, which made Ho-Oh look at him in some surprise.
