A streak of dazzling light flew in from the horizon and slammed straight into Xie Yue just as he was about to finish off Tie Yu.
Xie Yue crossed his twin blades before his chest to block, but even so, his chest was already a bloody mess.
Holding her spear, Xu Baiyun gazed coldly at Xie Yue. The black Soul Ring behind her lit up, and she pointed lightly at him.
"Long Spear Flash Pierce!"
A golden ray flashed past. With almost no time to react, Xie Yue was pierced straight through.
Xie Yue looked down at his chest in disbelief. His body had protective astral aura, as well as the results of all his trials and training, and was now comparable to steel. Yet before his opponent, it was as thin as paper, punctured with a single thrust.
As though all his strength had drained away, Xie Yue fell to his knees and collapsed limply, looking as though he was about to die.
Xu Baiyun ignored Xie Yue, walking straight past him as he struggled on the ground and heading toward Hu Liena.
Just then, Xie Yue, who had been lying there like a corpse, suddenly raised his head, a glint of red flashing in his eyes.
Then he sprang to his feet, summoned his twin blades again, and stabbed straight at Xu Baiyun, who stood less than ten meters away with her back still turned to him.
Xu Baiyun sighed, then turned resolutely. With a casual swing of the Judgment Gun, she blocked Xie Yue's supposedly lethal sneak attack.
"I heard your Spirit Hall recently dug up something impressive. So it was true."
By now, Xie Yue's appearance had almost completely changed. A strange-looking flesh had filled his wounds, and his once reasonably refined, handsome features had become
