Six years had passed in the blink of an eye since the World-Remaining Immortal appointed Cheng Xinzhan as the White Tiger Envoy.
Cheng Xinzhan's life within the sect settled into quiet, but his reputation there grew by the day.
There were three main reasons.
The first was that, on the very day he took office as the White Tiger Envoy, he had questioned the public office chiefs about their abuse of authority, leading to a reorganization of the Discipline Investigation Bureau. By killing the chicken to warn the monkeys, he had greatly improved the atmosphere in all the offices.
The second was that, half a month after he took office as the White Tiger Envoy, the sect established the Office-Worker Governance, an administration composed entirely of First and Second Realm disciples who worked in the offices. When its first Administration Head took office, he was actually an obscure First Realm disciple who had entered the mountain less than two years earlier. Yet even a disciple of such low cultivation could request an audience with any of the sect leaders at any time.
Moreover, its first Administration Chief said that the Office-Worker Governance had been conceived and put into practice by the White Tiger Envoy.
After these two events, life became much easier for all the disciples in the mountain who worked part-time in the offices, and they all felt grateful to Cheng Xinzhan.
The third was that, when the sect announced the establishment of the Office-Worker Governance, it also founded the Pine-Supporting Tower.
The Pine-Supporting Tower bought talismans, elixirs, spirit grain, treasured artifacts, and other goods produced by the sect's Lower Realm disciples. The disciples could exchange these things for all kinds
