Lin Yi froze like a statue in the darkness. His pupils slowly dilated, his mouth slowly opened, and his throat shifted slightly as he began to produce a sound that should not have belonged to this world:

"Lao Lin..."
A voice rang out in Lin Yi's heart, making the sounds he was producing briefly falter.
"Lao Lin..."
Lin Yi began to tremble, and his unfocused pupils actually began slowly focusing again.
"Lao Lin..."
Lin Yi came to his senses. He could hear that voice beside his ear, but when he looked around, there seemed to be nobody near him.
"Lao Lin..."
A trace of confusion surfaced in Lin Yi's eyes. "Who's calling me?"

At last, the voice became perfectly clear. Lin Yi discovered that Wei Shan was standing right in front of him.
"Wake up." Wei Shan waved a hand in front of his eyes.
"Wake up?" Lin Yi paused, then immediately realized something. "I... I should be in the Corridor, right?"
Wei Shan smiled. "If you think you are, then you are."
Lin Yi nodded, lowered his head, and stepped forward, leaving the ground covered in shards of ice.
"As long as you're all right. I'm off, then. Got to use the bathroom!" With that, Wei Shan turned and left.
With this little interruption, the Layers around Lin Yi recovered at a visible speed. The long, freezing night vanished rapidly, as though someone had
