But the thought merely flickered through his mind. He examined the notice carefully, making a brief mental comparison with the notice at the entrance to the Swimming Hall.
He then realized that their rules were broadly similar, such as the need to change into special clothing, and being allowed to shower before leaving but preferably not wash one's hair.
Beyond that, however, some of the details differed.
For example, the gymnastics uniform could be worn outside the Gymnastics Hall, but not outside the Gymnasium...
What truly gave him pause, though, were the eerie statements [The Changing Room is the only way to leave the Gymnastics Hall] and [Do not use the stairs or elevators inside the Gymnastics Hall].
This meant that there were stairs and elevators inside the Gymnastics Hall, but they were not ways to leave it.
Yet clearly, they were indeed a way out-just not one for Experience Students. As for whether they were meant for Athlete Students, that remained open to question.
Then there was the suspiciously emphatic [There will never be any unlit areas]. If they "absolutely didn't exist," why even mention them?
Lin Yi had long since learned that when the rules said something didn't exist, it did. It was essentially a counter-suggestion provided in advance, intended to let people use the written rules to establish their own cognition when they encountered such situations, like a baseline for their cognition.
As for thinking any deeper, forget it... now wasn't the time.
