Speaking of leaving the Campus early, though, the Student Rules did mention it:
[Please take your health seriously. If you experience dizziness, blurred vision, nausea, or other symptoms of discomfort during your stay, please find the Dorm Supervisor or Head Teacher before spending the night. Head Teacher 040 shook her head. "My investigation into historical events is a personal matter. Personal matters cannot take precedence over official duties."
Seeing that Head Teacher 040 would not budge, Mountain Man fell silent. His Exoskeleton Armor stood tall in the dim Covered Corridor, Ghostly Green streams of photons flowing along its luminous strips. It exuded an oppressive presence like a mecha.
"Whew..." After a long while, Mountain Man let out a long breath. As though he had endured a lengthy internal struggle, he slowly said, "Forget it... I'll find a way out of the Campus myself. But before that, I'll still tell you some of my findings. I hope they help you."
Lin Yi pressed his lips together. "Should I step outside?"
"No need," Head Teacher 040 said. "You'll need to know anyway. Just listen to what he has
