"Woo... woo... woo...?!" Lin Yi soon noticed that they were not phantoms, but things that actually existed.
They crawled through the Dormitory Building's hallways like spiders. Though they were clearly crawling along the floor, they gave him the impression of struggling to scale a cliff.
These things resembled cold corpses shrouded in bone-white fog, with stiff postures and grayish-blue skin. They looked like the sculptures along the stone path in the Stalactite Cave, but their forms more closely resembled the nonhuman students.
Lin Yi suddenly understood something. If the two layers really did allow things to seep through and fall between them, then what was currently a hallway to him was a sheer rock face perpendicular to sea level to those Nonhuman Units.
That was why they struggled so hard to climb!

And so he felt the terror of sinking deep into a mire.
He discovered that endless particles of white powder floated in the bone-white fog, and those particles were pouring into Mao Feiyang's body at a rate visible to the naked eye.
