Chen Heng sheltered Qiao Rui, entered the Flowing Fire Grand Transformation Grotto-Heaven, and clashed with cultivators seeking its treasures. After killing Qiao Yan and seizing the Lunar Wheel Mirror, he joined Shen Cheng’s effort to explore the underground palace and defeated He Manzi in a duel.

• Chen Heng killed Qiao Ying, rescued Qiao Rui, and brought her to Yi City, where he agreed to shelter her while she awaited her sister.
• Chen Heng celebrated the New Year with Qiao Rui, advanced his swordsmanship, and entered the Formless Lie Sword Cave before departing for Crane-Cry Mountain.
• At the Flowing Fire Grand Transformation reception, Chen Heng defeated Liu Lingzheng’s attempt to humiliate him, fought off the gathering’s attackers, and deterred Liu Guan with his Deep Void Demon-Subduing Sword Talisman.

Chen Heng claimed treasures in the Flowing Fire Grotto-Heaven, advanced his swordsmanship and cultivation, and traveled to the Eastern Sea for the Dragon Palace selection. There, he reunited with Chen Chan, who revealed her plan to kill Chen Jade Pivot and urged him to meet Chen Lü.

• Chen Heng entered the Underground Palace, defeated Ji Yuetan and Xiao Yi, and helped Shen Cheng secure the Great Purification True Art and reach the grotto-heaven’s final levels.
• As the Flowing Fire Grotto-Heaven began to sink, True Lord Ding rescued the cultivators and took Chen Heng under his guidance, where Chen Heng attained Body and Sword as One.
• Chen Heng received Qiao Rui’s gifts, including the Five-Qi Cosmic Ring, then traveled to the Eastern Sea and boarded a vessel bound for the Jade Spring Immortal Market.

Chen Heng gathered allies and resources while preparing to compete in the Dragon Palace Consort Selection, as Laughing Monk pursued a way to save Chen Zhi. The Purple Mansion contest began in the Vast Wilds Minor Realm, while Tong Xuan sought to assess Chen Heng before raising an important matter.

• Chen Heng traded Qi Lingzi’s Secret Instructions for His Direct Disciples to Cui Jingzhong for a Clear Ascension Pill, then continued to Rou Xuan Prefecture with Chen Chan.
