Ch. 76His First Attempt at Alchemy

Lin Shisan discovered that the Five Elements Divine Refinement had evolved, revealing that he could use other flames for alchemy, and began making Body Tempering Liquid. His first attempt went wrong when lightning crackled inside the furnace and threatened to make it explode.

  • After days of waiting, Lin Shisan found that the Five Elements Divine Refinement had not changed, so he tested whether leaving it alone in the Little Black Cauldron would let it evolve.
  • After another night, Lin Shisan found the evolved Five Elements Divine Refinement, which completed its pill formulas and explained that strong Divine Sense could substitute other flames for pill fire.
  • Lin Shisan chose to practice alchemy with the little flowerpot and began brewing Body Tempering Liquid in the Alchemy Pill Furnace.

  • Lin Shisan fled the scene, leaving Tie Dan and four other bodies behind.
  • Pang Yue told Lin Shisan that Tie Dan’s death had prompted a three-day search of the Small Market led by Chen Dong and that the Law Enforcement Team could not search the Seven-Day Immortal without a special written order.
  • A blue-robed servant announced that the Law Enforcement Team had arrived.

Ch. 87Hundred-Year Spirit-Gathering Grass Delivered to His Door

Lin Shisan feared the Law Enforcement Team’s arrival, but discovered its captain, Little Dragon, was Pang Yue’s devoted junior and treated Lin as his great-granduncle. • Pang Yue gave the spirit-gathering grass to Lin Shisan, who realized its quality could let him refine graded Spirit-Gathering Pills.

Ch. 88Peril and pill refining

Chen Dong searched the Small Market for Lin Shisan and heard that Grandpa Pang’s maternal clan uncle resembled him, but he ordered Yun Yan to keep quiet and search for Zheng Qian instead. Meanwhile, Lin Shisan refined a Spirit-Gathering Pill and anxiously awaited its formation, hoping it would bear pill marks.

  • Chen Dong learned from Yun Yan that Senior Brother Zhou had sensed demonic qi in Grandpa Pang’s maternal clan uncle’s courtyard and had been punished after reporting it to Senior Brother Long.

  • Lin Shisan urged the Jiaolong True Spirit to return while its excess starlight left it trapped and cultivators converged on his courtyard.
  • A huge bowl-shaped barrier appeared over the Seven-Day Immortal, and its shock opened a crack that let the Jiaolong True Spirit escape into Lin Shisan’s dantian.
  • Cao Li and Ning Jiuying emerged nearby, and their Yellow Dragon Realm power struck Lin Shisan hard enough to make him spit blood.
  • The protective formation activated fully, allowing Lin Shisan to see Cao Li confront Ning Jiuying in the sky.
  • Ning Jiuying summoned infant-sized skulls and hurled them at five approaching cultivators, knocking them away and marking their chests with red skulls.

Ch. 92The great demon really came

  • The green light plunged into Lin Shisan's chest, and the Heart-Devouring Demonic Qi swallowed it before turning into a Heart-Devouring Demon Spirit that tried to possess him.

Ch. 94Eradication

Feng Qingye revealed himself as Yun Yan, admitted Zheng Qian had been a Demon Sect spy, and told Lin Shisan that the Demon Sect was invading Tai Chi Hall while its defenders were away.

  • Lin Shisan ordered the Jiaolong True Spirit to strike the weakened Demon Spirit again, but it mistook his gesture and hit him with five beams of starlight.

  • Lin Shisan worried that Mu Ling'er might be in danger after learning the Demon Sect had invaded Tai Chi Hall, but Feng Qingye dismissed his concern and offered to fulfill a final wish.
  • Lin Shisan told Feng Qingye his regret was not having wiped him out completely, prompting Feng Qingye to attack him with killing intent and a Green Snake.
  • Pang Yan'er rushed in with Pang Yue and a Qingyi Attendant, and Feng Qingye seized Yan'er as a hostage.
  • The Qingyi Attendant revealed he had entered the Dao and was working for Feng Qingye, who admitted he had bought him off to learn about Lin Shisan and Yan'er.
  • Feng Qingye demanded that Lin Shisan refrain from activating the Plum Blossom Mark when Feng Qingye took over his body, or Yan'er would die.
