After Yuqing confronted Mingluo in the Core Region, Geng Yuan ambushed Giant Deer Mountain and pushed Gu Chenfeng to the brink before a sudden celestial force appeared.

• True Person Yuqing explained that ancient sages had sealed Saint Level invaders on the Seven Star Continent and assigned the alliance forces to defend its nine formation nodes.
• Gu Chenfeng helped Yuqing repair her Dao Foundation with the Guixu Cauldron, then defended Dragon-Locking Pass when the Soul Devouring Beast army attacked.
• Gu Chenfeng used his heavenly tribulation to kill Feiyu and Tu Ling, while Xuehun escaped, and he then broke through to the Source Venerable Realm and began refining the Heaven-Traversing Star Wings.

Gu Chenfeng led Geng Yuan away from the Core Region, survived their pursuit, and grew strong enough to confront him before answering Yuqing’s summons. With Mingluo sealed but the alliance facing a weakened defense and a short deadline, Gu Chenfeng took charge as acting alliance leader and forced his chief challengers to submit.

• Gu Chenfeng lured Geng Yuan across the continent, using the Nether Ember Fire Domain and Eternal Silence Ice Abyss to delay him while seeking supplies and shelter at the Snow God Palace.
• At the Snow God Palace, Gu Chenfeng stopped Xuan Bing from receiving the Ancestor’s power, exposed the Soul Devouring Beast possessing the Ancestor, and brought the palace into the Seven Star Alliance.
• Geng Yuan captured Xuan Bing to bait Gu Chenfeng, but Gu Chenfeng returned to save her and later protected her while she recovered, and Xuan Bing regained her memories of him and fought her heartless Great Dao to keep them.
