Background / History

In his previous life, Tang San was an outer-sect disciple of the Tang Sect who secretly learned the sect’s supreme art, the Mysterious Heaven Treasure Record. When exposed, he refused to use his hidden weapons to flee, left behind three Wrath of the Buddha Tang Lotuses, and leapt from Ghost Cries Cliff. Tang Sect leader Tang Da posthumously recognized him as the sect’s greatest talent in over two centuries, promoted him to inner-sect disciple, and named him the sole candidate to inherit leadership should he survive. 142

In his new life, Tang San grew up as a YuLin orphan in Light Three Villages near Spirit City. He lived comfortably under Spirit Hall’s care, cultivated the Mysterious Heaven Skill from childhood, and learned Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track before his Martial Soul awakening. 159

At age six, he awakened Twin Martial Souls—Blue Silver Grass and a plain black hammer—and demonstrated Innate Full Soul Power. Qian Xunji adopted him after the ceremony and brought him to Spirit City, where Tang San was welcomed into the Pope’s family. In gratitude, Tang San swore loyalty to Spirit Hall and resolved to repay Qian Xunji’s kindness. 162 163 164

Qian Xunji directed Tang San toward an extreme-life cultivation path, having him absorb life-attribute plant Soul Rings rather than poisonous beast-type rings. This path successively transformed his Blue Silver Grass into Blue Silver Vine and then the Blue Silver Crystal Tree. 166 201 231

Appearance

Tang San is an ordinary-looking youth with thick brows and bright eyes. Unlike Big Head God King Tang, he is described as normal and unremarkable in appearance. 200 270

  • Fair, delicate hands as a child. 159
  • Initially awakened silver-blue Blue Silver Grass resembling a watermelon sprout. 162
  • His evolved Blue Silver Crystal Tree is crystalline, translucent, and tree-shaped, with a trunk approximately half a meter thick. 231

Personality

Tang San is intensely grateful toward Spirit Hall because it rescued and raised him as a YuLin orphan. He regards Qian Xunji as both father and benefactor, prioritizing repayment of that kindness over his own safety. 163 164 236

He is diligent, attentive to instruction, and willing to adapt his cultivation rather than rely solely on inherited methods. He seriously considers Qian Xunji’s teachings on Soul Skill innovation and develops his plant Martial Soul along the life-attribute path. 166 230

Tang San is also fiercely protective of the Tang Sect’s legacy. He considers Big Head God King Tang an ungrateful traitor for claiming ownership of Tang Sect arts and for using the same name, leading to mutual hostility between the two. 191 202 203

Abilities & Skills

Twin Martial Souls

Tang San awakened Blue Silver Grass and a small black iron hammer, both initially regarded as ordinary Martial Souls. 162 163

  • Blue Silver Grass → Blue Silver Vine → Blue Silver Crystal Tree — evolved through life-attribute plant Soul Rings and Soul Spirit contracts. 201 231
  • Black hammer — his second Martial Soul; Divine Slaughter's Domain was engraved onto it after Hell Road. 235
  • His hammer was considered unsuitable for bearing the Asura Godhood due to its low apparent quality. 235

Blue Silver Crystal Tree

Tang San’s primary combat Martial Soul specializes in extreme vitality, rapid regeneration, binding, and battlefield control. 231 236

  • Rooting — anchors the Martial Soul underground, increasing growth and recovery while reducing Soul Power consumption. 167
  • Starlight Absorption, Earth Vein Absorption, Undying Nirvana, Life Resonance, and Undying Body — later Soul Skills used together against Tang Hao. 235
  • Its vines can bind, whip, and move freely even when Soul Skills are disabled in Slaughter City. 167 232
  • The Crystal Tree can absorb life force and Soul Power from nearby plants, regrow after destruction, and multiply rapidly so long as Tang San retains Soul Power. 236
  • Its recovery and toughness allowed Tang San to obstruct Big Head God King Tang’s Clear Sky Hammer in Slaughter City, forcing him to retreat. 233

Divine Slaughter's Domain

Tang San obtained Divine Slaughter's Domain after achieving one hundred consecutive victories in the Hell Slaughter Arena and clearing Hell Road. 234 235

  • Engraved on his black hammer Martial Soul. 235
  • Enhances his abilities within its area of effect. 235
  • Its emergence marked him as another Slaughter God in the Asura God’s perception. 235

Tang Sect Secret Arts

Tang San retained and employs techniques from the Mysterious Heaven Treasure Record. 142 159

  • Mysterious Heaven Skill — his foundational internal cultivation method, used when absorbing Soul Rings. 159 167
  • Ghost Shadow Perplexing Track — high-speed movement technique used for evasion and close-quarters repositioning. 159 201
  • Purple Demon Eyes — visual technique used in combat and while traversing Hell Road. 174 235
  • Hidden weapons — combines concealed weapons with Blue Silver Vine control to eliminate stronger opponents. 202
  • Zhuge Crossbow and King Yama’s Decree — forged with the intention of killing Big Head God King Tang. 201

Soul Spirits

  • Blue Silver King — Tang San’s fifth Soul Spirit; its eighty-five-thousand-year sacrifice evolved his Martial Soul into the Blue Silver Crystal Tree and raised him from Level 50 to Level 60. 231
  • Ten Thousand Demon King — Tang San’s seventh Soul Spirit; its five-hundred-thousand-year sacrifice raised him to Level 78 and produced a green Soul Spirit Soul Ring. 243

Equipment / Items

  • Storage Soul Guidance Device — gifted by Qian Xunji after Tang San revealed Innate Full Soul Power. 163
  • Treasured sword — given by Chihiro Doriu to encourage Tang San to remain unyielding. 164
  • Fire Phoenix Jade Pendant — given by Ling Yuan; wards off cold and provides protection. 164
  • Blue Silver Emperor pills — refined by Ah Yin; beneficial to Blue Silver Grass Martial Souls and contributed to his evolution into Blue Silver Vine. 164 201
  • Dagger — Qian Ren Han’s first soul-beast-hunting dagger, presented to Tang San as a gift. 164

Relationships

  • Qian Xunji — adoptive father and principal mentor. Qian Xunji arranged Tang San’s life-attribute cultivation, Soul Spirit contracts, and Slaughter City training; Tang San is deeply devoted to him. 163 166 231 237
  • Qian Ren Han — adoptive older brother. He protects Tang San during the Exterminate Evil Trial and praises his performance against Evil Spirit Masters. 164 202
  • Little Wu — adoptive younger sister. She welcomed Tang San into the family and introduced him to Zhu Zhuqing. 164 270
  • Ah Yin — adoptive mother. She gave Tang San Blue Silver Emperor pills and helped persuade the Blue Silver King to become his Soul Spirit. 164 230
  • Ling Yuan — adoptive mother who gave Tang San a protective Fire Phoenix Jade Pendant. 164
  • Chihiro Doriu — adoptive grandfather; gave Tang San a treasured sword and later supported seeking justice after Tang Hao attacked him. 164 243
  • Big Head God King Tang — hostile namesake and rival. Both claim the Tang Sect’s arts and denounce the other as a master-betraying traitor. 202 203
  • Tang Hao — enemy who joined Big Head God King Tang in ambushing Tang San after Hell Road; Tang San survived due to Qian Xunji’s intervention. 235 237
  • Ning Rongrong — admirer and proposed fiancée. She identifies Tang San as the “real Third Brother,” while her father seeks a marriage alliance between her and Tang San. 202 275
  • Zhu Zhuqing — initially suspects Tang San is the Third Brother from her past-life memories because of his hidden-weapon skills. 270 271
