Background / History
Tang Hao was the Clear Sky School's chosen heir, personally selected by his grandfather Tang Chen to inherit the Clear Sky Douluo title. He regarded restoring the school’s former prestige as his responsibility and was known for the confidence and pride associated with Clear Sky Hammer wielders. 45 114
Alongside his elder brother Tang Xiao, Tang Hao left the Clear Sky School to train. During their travels, the brothers met A Yin and became attached to her; Tang Hao later treated her as his sworn “Third Sister.” After Qian Xunji took A Yin away, Tang Hao impulsively attacked the Pope despite being vastly outmatched, then fell into drinking and neglect of cultivation. 57 63 66 73
Tang Hao later married Zhu Yingmei, who gave birth prematurely to God King Tang. Their relationship deteriorated severely; after losing his temper and releasing Soul Power near her, Tang Hao caused her premature labor. He subsequently killed Zhu Yingmei and abandoned her body in the wilderness. 106 107
The awakening of God King Tang’s twin martial souls—Blue Silver Grass and Clear Sky Hammer—brought Tang Hao out of his depression. He cultivated intensely, reached Soul Douluo, and pursued an unprecedented 100,000-year eighth Soul Ring hunt. The attempt cost the Clear Sky School its sect master Tang Zhen and four elders, creating resentment toward Tang Hao within the sect. 113 114 128
After reaching Rank 90, Tang Hao attempted to obtain his ninth ring with Tang Xiao. Qian Xunji intercepted them in the Star Dou Great Forest and forced Tang Hao to absorb a ten-year ring to save his brother, making him a Titled Douluo under humiliating circumstances. 168 169 170
Tang Hao later fought in the conflict against the King of Slaughter. Seeking glory for the Clear Sky School, he struck down the weakened King with his Clear Sky Hammer True Body, only to discover that the King was his grandfather, Tang Chen. 219 221 222
After attacking Tang San alongside God King Tang, Tang Hao’s actions prompted Spirit Hall to pressure the Clear Sky School. He returned to find the school in ruins and learned that more than ninety percent of its members had died because of the consequences surrounding him. 235 243 250 251
Tang Hao and God King Tang later traveled to Sea God Island, where Tang Hao completed Purple Level Three Trials and advanced to Rank 99. He became confident that he could defeat Qian Xunji and reclaim A Yin. 261 262 282
Personality
Tang Hao is intensely proud, ambitious, and emotionally driven. He repeatedly frames his pursuit of strength as a way to prove himself to A Yin and restore the Clear Sky School, and he is willing to take unprecedented risks for those goals. 114 219
His impulsiveness frequently undermines him. He attacks opponents beyond his strength, pursues glory without confirming the circumstances, and becomes violent when confronted with humiliation or grief. His decision to save Tang Xiao at the cost of his own ninth ring, however, shows that his loyalty to family can outweigh his pride. 66 170 222
