Background / History
Origins and entry into the Lu Lineage
Lu Changsheng grows up as the third of five children in a farming family, with an older sister and brother and a younger sister and brother. He lives in Crouching Ox Village for eighteen years before pursuing immortal cultivation 4 32.
During the Azure Cloud Sect’s Heart-Questioning Platform trial, he awakens his past-life memories and the Many Children, Many Blessings System. Although he ranks first on the platform, the sect rejects him because of his ninth-grade spiritual root and age 1 26.
He accepts the Lu Lineage’s recruitment of live-in sons-in-law, whose original obligation is fifty children within twenty years. The arrangement supplies cultivation manuals, access to a spiritual vein, wives, and help raising children—resources particularly suited to his system. Li Feiyu joins alongside him and saves his life during the journey’s ambush 2 3 5.
Establishing his household and livelihood
At Green Bamboo Manor, Lu Changsheng marries Lu Lanshu, Lu Zi’er, and Lu Qing’er. Lu Lanshu’s pregnancy earns him a cultivation-resource package worth one hundred spirit stones, and their son Lu Ping’an becomes his first child 4 5.
The system’s talisman-making reward gives him a potential livelihood beyond dependence on the lineage. Rather than expose his second-rank expertise immediately, he sells basic talismans and presents his progress as gradual learning. Lu Miaoge’s assessment establishes him as a Talisman Apprentice, while his later disclosure of ranked talismans earns the lineage head’s personal attention 6 8 10 12 17.
He signs a replacement Spirit Contract after confirming that his children belong to him and that he may continue marrying. Leaving the lineage requires either twenty years’ notice or repayment of three times its expenditure on him. He nevertheless accepts its protection and moves his household into Green Bamboo Valley 17 18 19.
Reunion, first battle, and homecoming
After reaching the third Qi Refining layer, Lu Changsheng travels with Li Feiyu to a three-year reunion with Hong Yi, Han Lin, Xiao Xiyue, and Zhao Qingqing. He expresses no regret over his sect rejection, and the six agree to meet again in ten years 23 26.
At an Ox-Head Mountain gathering, he sells nearly one hundred talismans for 133 spirit stones. Three cultivators pursue him for his valuables; he kills them with the Golden Light Brick after an initial talisman barrage. Their possessions are worth roughly five hundred spirit stones, but the encounter strengthens his resolve to avoid robbery and remain under the lineage’s protection 28 29 30.
He arranges for the Red Whale Gang to protect his mortal relatives. On returning home, he funds houses and farmland for his family, a prolonged wedding feast for his younger brother, and celebration money for the villagers 24 31 32.
Further marriages and entry into the inner circle
On the return journey, Lu Changsheng and Li Feiyu encounter a suspicious old man and young woman in a ruined temple. Li Feiyu kills the old man. Lu Changsheng subsequently brings Qu Zhenzhen to Green Bamboo Mountain, marries her, and promises to help locate her missing brother, Qu Changge 33 36.
He later accepts two willing women offered by Hong Yi and establishes a regular talisman-trading arrangement. His twentieth child’s birth triggers another system reward, which grants the Hundred-Forging Treasure Body Art 39 40 42.
His publicly revealed middle-grade talisman mastery leads the Lu elders to propose marriages intended to retain him. A meeting with Lu Miaohuan initially goes well, but he declines because her conditions prohibit further marriages and conflict with his family plans. He instead marries Lu Miaoyun, the Fourth Elder’s granddaughter, in a grand ceremony that formally brings him into the lineage’s inner circle 44 47 48 49.
Appearance
Initially unremarkable, Lu Changsheng becomes noticeably more handsome over his years at Green Bamboo Mountain. His eldest sister mistakes him for a noble young master at his homecoming, and lineage disciples remark on his transformation during his wedding to Lu Miaoyun 4 32 49.
- Wears a green Daoist robe during early cultivation 5.
- Appears handsome and straight-backed while riding a spirit steed in his wedding procession 49.
- Cultivates an art that gradually refines his appearance, bone structure, and skin rather than imposing a fixed ideal face 13 37.
Personality
Lu Changsheng is cautious and pragmatic. He investigates the lineage’s recruitment terms before accepting them, conceals the true extent of his talisman expertise, and limits public sales to avoid attracting attention. His first lethal battle reinforces his preference for protected, steady advancement over dangerous opportunities 2 6 28 30.
His apparent satisfaction with wives, children, and modest prosperity masks an ambition to attain eternal life and establish his own cultivation lineage. He is willing to remain dependent on the Lu Lineage during his vulnerable early years, but does not abandon that long-term goal 17 23 42 46.
Although his system gives him self-interested reasons to father children, his affection for his family is genuine. He nurtures relationships within the household, worries about mortal children aging and dying, and struggles with the prospect of sending them away at six. He also refuses to sacrifice household harmony merely to marry a woman with better spiritual-root aptitude 5 9 16 23 46 48.
Abilities & Skills
Many Children, Many Blessings System
A system awakened alongside his past-life memories that links his growth to his descendants and awards milestone lottery draws 1.

- Achieves a hundred-percent success rate with First-Tier Middle-Grade Talismans, even using ordinary materials 28.
- At the first Qi Refining layer, can draw only two or three low-grade ranked talismans, or approximately one middle-grade talisman, before exhausting his spiritual power 7.

- Initially fulfills a lineage assignment of twenty Fire Bullet Talismans per month using supplied materials 20.
Cultivation and Spells
His initial cultivation method is the Beginner Grade Returning Origin Technique 4 13.
- Green Bamboo Valley’s second-rank spirit vein raises his cultivation speed by thirty percent, although his refining ability limits the benefit 20.

Immortal Grace / Immortal Bearing Art
An Unorthodox Grade supplementary technique that improves appearance and preserves youth; the supplied passages use both names 13 37.
- Gradually refines individual features until they reach their own limits 13.
- Offers no direct combat benefit or cultivation-speed improvement 13.
- Circulates automatically after its foundation is completed with five-element spiritual materials 37.
Hundred-Forging Treasure Body Art
An Orthodox Grade inheritance of Hundred-Forging Mountain that uses treasured materials to forge flesh, meridians, and bones into a body resembling a magic treasure 40.
- Begins practice by absorbing the material essence of a destroyed shield artifact 40.
- Can use magic treasures to nourish the body; Lu Changsheng considers future system rewards a possible means of accelerating progress 40.
- Has demanding material requirements; no completed stage or treasure-derived divine ability is demonstrated in the supplied chapters 40.
