Plane Master of the Douluo Plane (future broadcast) 526 Revealed alongside Ah Yin, the plane's life core; this position allows him to remain on the Douluo Plane without ascending to the God Realm.

Background / History

Tang Hao and Tang Xiao encountered Ah Yin while traveling for experience, and the three became sworn siblings. Both brothers developed feelings for her, but Ah Yin chose Tang Hao; Tang Xiao withdrew and returned to the Clear Sky Sect. Lin Yu later presented a reconstruction suggesting that Ah Yin's identity as a hundred-thousand-year soul beast became central to the conflict with Spirit Hall. 21

Ah Yin's sacrifice gave Tang Hao a hundred-thousand-year Ninth Soul Ring and a hundred-thousand-year soul bone, making him the continent's youngest Titled Douluo and dramatically strengthening the Clear Sky Sect's position. Soon afterward, Tang Hao killed the former Spirit Hall Pope, Qian Xunji, despite Qian Xunji being accompanied by two other Titled Douluo. 22

Following the live broadcasts' revelation that Tang San would become a god, Tang Hao regained hope that his son could one day destroy Spirit Hall and avenge their family. 58 He left Holy Soul Village with Tang San to meet Yu Xiaogang at Notting Academy, intending to let Yu Xiaogang teach his son while he searched for Ah Yin. 73 75

Appearance

Tang Hao is a broad-built middle-aged man. In Holy Soul Village, he appears deeply dispirited; when he arrives at Notting Academy, he wears tattered clothes and has unkempt hair. 14 75

  • Carries the imposing build and facial features that make Tang San recognize him as his father. 14
  • Usually has messy, nest-like hair and damaged or ragged clothing during his later battles. 75 232
  • Wields an enormous black Clear Sky Hammer. 551

Personality

Tang Hao is fiercely proud of both his Clear Sky Sect heritage and Tang San's potential. He openly taunts Spirit Hall after learning of Tang San's future godhood, and he treats Spirit Hall as his mortal enemy. 58 225

His defining motivation is protecting Tang San. He repeatedly fights while injured, delays pursuers so his son can escape, and ultimately sacrifices himself at Hell Town. 78 241 242 However, his desperation also makes him ruthless: he endangered Notting City's civilians to escape Spirit Hall and exploited the trapped members of the Strength Clan to compel Tai Tan's intervention. 80 230

Tang Hao remains devoted to the Clear Sky Sect despite the Four Great Clans' resentment toward it. This loyalty causes friction with Tai Tan, Niu Gao, Bai He, and Yang Wudi, who view him as indifferent to the clans' losses. 176 221

Abilities & Skills

Clear Sky Hammer

Tang Hao possesses the Clear Sky Hammer, a top-tier hammer Martial Soul. Its power, combined with his Clear Sky Sect techniques and hundred-thousand-year Ninth Soul Ring, lets him challenge stronger Titled Douluo. 78

  • Summons nine soul rings: yellow, yellow, purple, purple, black, black, black, black, and red. 77 226
  • Uses the Seventh Soul Skill, Clear Sky Hammer Avatar, as both an overwhelming weapon and a defensive barrier. 78
  • Used Haotian Bodyguard to block attacks from Qianjun and Jianglong Douluo. 78
  • Used the Fifth Soul Skill, Air Tremor, to create a shockwave that repelled multiple Titled Douluo. 227
  • Used the Ninth Soul Skill, Blue Silver Clear Sky Shattering Sky Explosion, to erase incoming attacks and shatter space along its path. 227

Haotian Nine Wonders

A suite of Clear Sky Sect techniques that supplement Tang Hao's hammer combat.

  • Zhen Word Technique — sent Qianjun Douluo and Jianglong Douluo flying with a single hammer strike despite Tang Hao being two ranks lower. 78
  • Used the technique in Notting City to smash the ground and launch civilians into the air, forcing Spirit Hall to rescue them instead of pursuing him. 80

Great Sumeru Hammer: Blast Ring

Tang Hao's final trump card is the Clear Sky Sect's supreme secret art, which detonates soul rings to convert their Soul Power into a temporary increase in attack power. 242

  • Detonated his first six soul rings to break through five Titled Douluo at the Strength Clan Residence. 232 242
  • Later detonated additional rings against Bibi Dong and Ghost Leopard Douluo, worsening his injuries and exhausting his remaining options. 241 242
  • In his final battle, detonated his Ninth and Seventh Soul Rings, threw his empowered Clear Sky Hammer at Bibi Dong, and self-destructed. 243
  • After use, soul rings vanish for three days and normally require at least thirty-six days before another use; repeated detonations risk permanent loss of the affected rings. 242

Divine Slaughter's Domain

Tang Hao possesses Divine Slaughter's Domain, which he uses to resist enemy domains and control effects. 225 227

  • Resisted the Two-Yin Immobilization Domain created by Chrysanthemum Douluo and Ghost Douluo. 227
  • Was pressured when Bibi Dong deployed both her own Divine Slaughter's Domain and Death Domain. 227

Hundred-Thousand-Year Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Bone

A soul bone gained through Ah Yin's sacrifice, fused to Tang Hao's right leg. 22 79

  • Wildfires Cannot Burn It All, Spring Breezes Blow and It Grows Again — channels life force to heal severe external injuries and restore mobility to his damaged arm. 79
  • Flight — grants exceptional aerial speed, allowing him to outrun Bibi Dong and several Titled Douluo. 79
  • Its repeated healing use consumes substantial Soul Power during prolonged escapes. 233

Relationships

  • Ah Yin — Wife and Tang San's mother. Her sacrifice granted Tang Hao his hundred-thousand-year Soul Ring and soul bone; he continues seeking her after her loss. 14 22 73
  • Tang San — Son. Tang Hao places Tang San's survival above his own, repeatedly holding off Spirit Hall and ultimately self-destructing to give him time to reach the City of Slaughter. 78 241 242
  • Tang Xiao — Brother and Ah Yin's former sworn sibling. Tang Xiao is happy to see Tang Hao again when he reaches the Clear Sky Sect. 21 237
  • Yu XiaogangTang San's teacher and an ally during Tang Hao's flight from Spirit Hall. Tang Hao initially accepts him as a possible teacher for Tang San and later carries him alongside Tang San during their escape. 73 232
  • Tai Tan — Strength Clan chief who considers Tang Hao his master and shelters him in Heaven Dou Imperial City. Tang Hao manipulates Tai Tan into fighting by placing the clan's civilians at risk. 132 230
  • Bibi Dong — Spirit Hall Pope and Tang Hao's principal pursuer. She leads repeated attempts to kill him, eventually inflicting Eternal Wound and pursuing him to Hell Town. 77 241
  • Lin Yu — Tang Hao blames Lin Yu for Ah Yin's departure and comes to hate him even more than Spirit Hall. 225
