For some reason, the employees at Star Sea Industrial had changed how they addressed Xia Xu.
"Can't you just call me boss in Chinese? Why show off your English?"
At first, Xia Xu had corrected them in bewilderment, but after a few days, he simply let them do as they pleased.
Nearly another half month passed. After repeated optimization and checks for flaws and omissions, the Spider-Shaped Predator's design was finalized, and Xia Xu made twelve of them in one go.
Such high-tech devices were still quite expensive to build. Their complex structures incorporated plenty of advanced hardware, so even these miniature robots cost hundreds of thousands apiece.
Fortunately, Xia Xu had a modest amount of savings, and under Chen Leyao's leadership, Star Sea Venture Capital had completed several short-term investments with decent returns. Only then did he have the financial confidence to build more than ten at once.
Unfortunately, although he had made so many of them, carrying them was a problem.
After all, a Spider-Shaped Predator was considerably larger than a basketball and hardly lightweight. Even carrying one around was rather cumbersome.
After some thought, Xia Xu had no choice but to put buying a vehicle back on his agenda.
Still, that would have to wait a while. Buying an ordinary vehicle worth a few hundred thousand felt somewhat lacking, while the luxury cars that caught his eye cost several million.
Although Chen Leyao was very good at making money, venture capital was unlike gambling on stocks. Returns took time.
Moreover, much of the money would soon be invested again. Star Sea Venture Capital only had around ten million in liquid funds left, so spending several million on a luxury car was still too extravagant. He had to keep some funds in reserve for emergencies.
