Because of that video of the enhanced Werewolves surrounding and attacking him, quite a few reporters seemed to be pushing his public persona in that direction.
Part of that came from the influence of Yao Fu and certain unusual incidents and individuals in other provinces and cities. As for the rest, he would never believe the Special Department hadn't been doing a little maneuvering behind the scenes.
He had no particular feelings about it, though. If his interests were involved, or if he happened across something, he wouldn't mind stepping in to save someone. But spending all day wandering around actively looking for trouble? Forget it.
With that kind of time, he would be better off looking for special storylines, finding more talented people, or creating new weapons and equipment. Even purely from the perspective of "doing good," preventing the disasters in those storylines and developing weapons technology would be far more valuable than running around doing small things on his own.

"With that data, the Bai Ze System could absolutely use algorithms to calculate where attacks will land. If you wore specially made clothes and a hood, no matter where someone tried to hit you, you'd get vibration feedback in the corresponding spot beforehand."
