After chatting with Ma Bing and the others for a while, Xia Xu learned that they had been accepted into several junior colleges in De City and had arranged to come register together. But with boarding time fast approaching, he could only say goodbye for now.
Pets were not allowed aboard, so A Tuo traveled back to Star City as checked cargo, while only Xia Xu and Tang Youxin boarded the train hand in hand.
Fortunately, the journey passed without incident. Star City and De City were neighboring cities anyway, so it was only around ten when the two emerged from Star City Railway Station.
"Mr. Xia, I heard you're back in Star City. Do you have time to come have some tea?"
Xia Xu had only just picked up A Tuo with Little White Flower and returned home, and had not even had a sip of water when his phone rang.
"Well, this is a rare occurrence. Team Leader Liu, you're actually inviting me for tea? This won't be the same sort of tea session your discipline inspectors hold, will it?"
Xia Xu chuckled at what he heard after answering the call.
The caller was none other than an old acquaintance, Liu Quande of the Special Department's Logistics Team in Nanhu Province.
He was a rather rigid, stern man. Although the two had already worked closely together several times, Xia Xu would never believe that Liu Quande would invite him for tea in a private capacity.
In short, he would not have called without a reason.
"There's just something I'd like to discuss with you, Mr. Xia."
Liu Quande made no attempt to hide it and stated his purpose directly.
