As he followed Tylos, Xia Xu suddenly asked this out of nowhere.
"Oh? What makes you ask, Mr. Xia?"
Tylos still looked perfectly serious, showing nothing unusual. He even displayed a little wit and humor now and then. Whether or not he was trying to distract Xia Xu, he had been very talkative throughout the walk.
"I noticed quite a few of your patients are pretty fat."
From a distance, Xia Xu watched several patients in striped hospital clothes leave with medical staff accompanying them.
Perhaps influenced by the suggestion of the word "Giant," he was now particularly sensitive to people's builds.
The two were crossing a grassy square where patients could get some exercise and fresh air. They encountered patients from time to time, and these people all seemed somewhat prone to obesity.
Especially the one whom medical staff had just wheeled through the hospital corridor beside the exercise yard. His entire body was a stack of spare tires, his thighs thicker than an ordinary person's waist. There were rolls of fat everywhere, some even hanging like pouches from his thighs down to his calves.
Someone that fat had basically lost all ability to move or look after themselves. Even in European and American countries with extremely unbalanced diets, one only occasionally saw a case or two on the news.
As for the Xia Kingdom, honestly, it would be pretty difficult to get that fat even on purpose.
