Pine God had been wondering why Lu Ran had suddenly become so attentive, even offering to find it an emissary.
Pine God had thought it over. The other Familiars were all working hard to find clues about the missing Four Divine Dragons through Infinite City. If it did nothing and the Divine Dragons were found, how awkward would it be to have contributed nothing?
At present, Pine God's avatar was like an earthbound spirit, ordered by its true body to guard this Cross-World Teleportation Array. It could not go searching itself.
So it had readily agreed to Lu Ran's suggestion. It would find an emissary who asked for nothing in return.
Yet Pine God had never expected Lu Ran to reveal his objective so quickly... He really did want something from it!
"Ah... isn't it just a matter of writing a few words?"
Pine God stared...
"What do you want with that Void fellow?"
"I heard that venerable elder is very powerful, so I wanted to see if I could learn a move or two..."
"Divine Deer took Senior Bai Lu away to train, leaving me all alone with nobody to look after me. So Divine Deer suggested I seek out the God of the Void, saying it was powerful. But since she wasn't particularly familiar with it, she told me to come to you for an introduction."
"But I felt embarrassed asking you for help just like that, so I wanted to do something for you too."
"I might not be able to defeat the Space Demon God, but finding you a Divine Emissary in the outside world... that might be within my abilities."
Pine God sank into thought. Really?
"That doesn't sound like the Elder Sister Divine Deer
