While Manager Ying was observing the Time Worm, Lu Ran appeared nearby and slowly walked over.
"Manager Ying."
"Shh, the egg hatched!" Manager Ying beckoned to Lu Ran. "It's a Time-Type!"
"Keep your voice down. Don't scare it and affect its development!"

"It hatched, huh..."
"A Time-Type. As expected." Lu Ran approached, looked at the Time Worm in the incubator, and nodded.
Since it had just been born, and young insect-types were a little dim, the little worm had barely any intelligence yet.
It would probably only gain intelligence after emerging from its cocoon and evolving into a Time Butterfly.
"This little thing..." Lu Ran began, but before he could finish, Manager Ying said, "I know. Nobody wants it, right? Then I'll look after it."
"Huh?" Lu Ran paused. Why was Manager Ying so accommodating this time?
But it was true. Despite its precious Time-Type, many of Lu Ran's Pet Beasts had mastered time abilities, so it was hardly anything special to him.
Six Flower did not even intend to take a Time Butterfly as a Familiar.
Under those circumstances, what else could Lu Ran do? He could only leave it to roam in the Beast Taming Empire and keep Lu Yao and the others company.
If Manager Ying liked it, leaving it in her care amounted to the same thing.
"As a species that undergoes metamorphosis, its evolutionary direction is quite a subject of study," Manager Ying murmured.
A gleam flashed through her eyes. In any case, this suited her perfectly.
She would raise this worm into an Insectoid Succubus Empress!
Then it could produce a whole brood of Time-Type offspring. Once she regained her position, she could dump the maintenance work on an army of time creatures, while she... hehehe.
