Chen Beiwu defeated Azure Spirit Sect forces, restored Aji’s bloodline, and traveled to the Cangyuan Realm to pursue twofold Dao-proving and search for Chen Qin. After advancing to the Nascent Soul Late Stage, he secretly followed a clash over the Earth Qilin, where Chen Qin and Senior Hu waited for the Calamity-Heart Fox to gain the advantage.
Chen Beiwu survived a series of battles, returned to the Southern Wasteland, and destroyed major Seven Sects strongholds before becoming the Mirror Moon Sect’s new sect master. He defeated challenges at his succession ceremony, but his plans to reunite the five sects stalled, leaving the Great Shang threat and his own path to Spirit Transformation unresolved.
Chen Beiwu strengthened himself and his companion beasts while preparing for the Grotto-Heaven Grand Tournament, then overwhelmed several Grotto-Heaven prodigies. The arc left him facing Che Zhengyuan’s formidable defensive realm, with Zhiling volunteering to challenge it.
Chen Beiwu won the tournament, pursued his own path of cultivation, and brought the Desolate Gu, Ten Thousand Poisons, and Cangmo sects under Mirror Moon Sect. After Golden Egg advanced into a true Horned Dragon, the story turned toward the approaching Two-World War and the opening of the Heavenly Ruins.
Chen Beiwu explored the Heavenly Ruins, mastered the Primordial Myriad Tribulations Body, and refused to settle on a Great Dao before reaching Spirit Transformation. Back in the Southern Wasteland, he subdued the Battle-Devouring Demon Ape and defended it from powerful challengers while it prepared to become a Demon Venerable.
Chen Beiwu escaped Zhen Yuanzi, won the Heavenly Abyss Dao Sect’s inheritance, and refined the Dragon-Suppressing Cauldron before helping Xuele become a Demon Venerable. He traveled to the Eastern Land Region, assumed Chen Zi'ang’s identity, and took office in Guan County, where he challenged the Dragon King’s hold over the people.
Chen Beiwu gained the Firecloud Palace inheritance, survived the Ancient Demon Cult’s scheme, and passed the Three Thousand Tribulations to become a True Venerable. After settling the Mirror Moon Sect crisis, he returned to the Immortal Alliance to seek a way to counter Primordial Chaos Dao Artifacts.
Chen Beiwu became chief of the Divine Excursion Department, pursued a Void Refinement opportunity, and joined the search for the Purple Palace Cave Abode. Inside the Demon-Imprisoning Tower, a Heavenly Intent Salamander overwhelmed the cultivators, leaving Chen Beiwu preparing to flee as Li Yueyin readied a killing strike.
