He traveled with Xuele toward the Mysterious Sword Pavilion, where Sword Lord Xiaoyao received news of Chen Zi'ang’s rise and sensed his arrival.

• Bai Tianxing told Chen Beiwu about five ancient monsters in Guixu Mountain, including Star-Lifting Old Monster Cang Jiayi, Heart Sword True Venerable Bai Tianyi, Great Desolation True Venerable Ning Wuque, Grand Void Formation Lord Zhen Yuanzi, and Sole Gu True Venerable Gu Li.

The sword spirit offered powerful rewards for healing the first three injuries, but revealed that the first came from a terrifying Primordial Chaos Dao Artifact whose name could kill Chen Beiwu if he learned it.

• Xuele followed his Taiyi Bloodline True Form into Sword Mountain, chose a decoy ancient sword, then pulled out a Rusty Sword as Chen Beiwu took over the search.
• Chen Beiwu followed the flow of Fortune and chose a rusted iron rod that revealed itself as the Taiyi Sin-Slaying Sword, transporting him into a vast inner world.
• The sword spirit, Taiyi, agreed to give Chen Beiwu the Mysterious Sword Pavilion but demanded that he heal its four Dao Injuries, offering escalating rewards for healing the first three.
