But when he actually saw the military base hidden deep in the mountains, Su Ping still struggled to take it in.
Not because of how large the military base before him was.
But because it was too small!
He had expected as much before, of course. After all, establishing a military base deep in these remote forests was tremendously difficult, and its location was relatively confidential.
Naturally, they could not make too much of a commotion, either. But wasn't this place a little too small?
What appeared before Su Ping was an area only the size of a small village. At least, that was how it looked from the entrance.

The Beast Tamer Legion's naval base was on West Dragon Lake, but wasn't this base for two ground armies a little too small?
A Beast Tamer Corps of over a hundred thousand people was crammed into such a tiny place?
Anyone looking at it would find it a little ridiculous.
Looking puzzled, Su Ping glanced out the window, then at the smiling Zhang Lie.
"Commander Zhang, this is..."
Was this all there was to the military base he had been looking forward to?
Along with his astonishment, Su Ping felt a little disappointed.
Yet Zhang Lie was all smiles.
"What's wrong? Do you think it's too small, Breeder Su?"
Su Ping nodded.
Small didn't begin to describe it!
After the gates of this "little town" opened and they entered, Su Ping barely saw any soldiers. Although some people clearly carried themselves like military personnel, he saw no command center in this town. Instead, he saw convenience stores
