And that did indeed seem to be the case.
As the strange little blade of grass swayed slowly, it actually moved again. Only, rather than fleeing outright, it seemed to have determined through its earlier observations that the two people before it and their surrounding pet beasts posed little threat, and slowly swayed its way down from the cliff.
It arrived on the ground not far from Su Ping.
Not only did Su Ping see this clearly, but Xing Chen beside him saw every bit of it too.
Having followed Master Leng, Xing Chen could be considered well-traveled and knowledgeable, yet even he froze at the sight.

Plants that could move were not particularly uncommon. Those plant pet beasts could move, albeit slowly.
But that certainly did not include an ordinary little blade of grass found everywhere.
Besides, this thing was too fast.
Not fast in the sense that nobody could catch it, but fast in another sense: even after watching for so long, he had simply failed to see how this little blade of grass shifted through space.
It was as though the ground itself were moving, while the grass remained rooted in place, never having moved at all.
