I wrote this note in advance so I could then shut myself away and get writing.
The novel goes premium around midnight. It'll probably be a few minutes late, but close enough. First, let me ask you all to subscribe to the first paid chapter.

A friend I know told me to put the paywall right where Old Sha evolves, saying that would probably get me more first-chapter subscriptions. But after thinking it over, I decided to let the story follow its own rhythm.
Forcing a cutoff there would really break the flow, I felt, and leaving people hanging and all that would reflect badly on my character, too, so I just let the cutoff fall wherever the writing took me.
As for updates, there should be over 20,000 Chinese characters on the first day. After that, I reckon 10,000 characters a day shouldn't be a problem.
As for extra updates, I'll see how things go when the time comes.
