Ignoring her fierce resistance, Jiang Hao held her tightly in his arms. Before long, he felt a patch of moisture soak through his chest, slightly warm.
After struggling for quite a while, perhaps exhausted, Nalan Hongchuo lay against him and cried. As she cried, she began dry-heaving again.
Jiang Hao released her in surprise, not understanding why Nalan Hongchuo was dry-heaving. Puzzled, he raised his arm and sniffed it, thinking he might smell.
After all, he had fought for so long. Although he had not gotten blood or anything on himself, he must have sweated a little.
He sniffed but found no strange odor. Could Nalan Hongchuo feel like vomiting simply at the sight of him?
At that thought, Jiang Hao's face darkened. Since when had he become someone whose very appearance made others sick enough to vomit?
As Jiang Hao pondered this, he caught sight of Nalan Hongchuo stroking her abdomen with one hand. Suddenly, inspiration flashed through his mind. Could it be...
Thinking of one possibility, Jiang Hao's expression changed, joy and worry mingling. Nalan Hongchuo had finished dry-heaving and was about to climb off him when Jiang Hao wrapped his arms around her.
"Let go of me!"
"Tell me, are you..."
Jiang Hao raised his head and stared at her belly. Startled, Nalan Hongchuo followed his gaze to her own belly, hastily lowered her hand, and denied it. "No!"
Jiang Hao twisted his thick waist, reversing their positions. He caught both her hands in one of his and pinned them above her head, while his other hand slipped beneath her clothes despite Nalan Hongchuo's struggles. He felt her delicate, silky skin, but this was no time for wild thoughts.
He quietly felt the faint pulsing inside.
Nalan Hongchuo realized she could not break free of his restraint.
