The players exchanged a few quiet words, their voices filled with astonishment and confusion.
Just then, their pupils contracted. The Fallen Believers had caught up with the carriage and lashed their immensely powerful tentacles at its cabin! If those tentacles caught it, the carriage would be wrecked and everyone inside would die!
But in the next instant.
The windows on both sides of the cabin slid open, and a black, crescent-shaped wave of light flew out, slicing clean through all the tentacles. The severed tentacles turned black and withered as soon as they hit the ground, losing all vitality.
Immediately afterward, thick green smoke poured from the windows and spread behind the carriage. Like the twin wakes a speedboat cut across the sea, it washed over the Fallen Believers pursuing it relentlessly.

One Fallen Believer after another inexplicably toppled over mid-stride and died on the spot. Their powerful vitality, their greatest source of pride, was useless against the terrifying green smoke. The players held their breath in disbelief.
"Those hundreds of Fallen Believers just died like that?!"
"What the hell is that smoke coming out of the carriage?! How is it so powerful?!"

The carriage finally passed in front of the players. As one, they instinctively ducked their heads back into the shadows. What stunned them, however, was that the coachman actually turned to glance at them and gave them a faint smile.
A long moment passed.
"I... I used Inspect."
One of the male players swallowed.
"What?"
The others were astonished.
"Nothing but unknown dashes across
