Gu Sheng pushed the door open and entered. Kong Sang came out of the kitchen holding a spatula, and her face lit up with surprise when she saw him.

"Ah Sheng!"

Tossing the spatula aside, Kong Sang jumped onto Gu Sheng and lowered her head to find his lips.

"Fuck, you're heavy!" It took Gu Sheng several minutes to peel the oversized octopus off and toss her onto the sofa.

"Hmph!" Kong Sang raised her chin and strutted back into the kitchen.

She had just smelled suspicious perfume on Gu Sheng and made it clear she did not want to talk to him.

But just a few minutes later, Kong Sang poked her head out of the kitchen again. "What do you want to eat? I'll call a restaurant and book a table."

"Just Zhenghong Restaurant downstairs," Gu Sheng said casually, heading into his room for a shower.

"Ah Sheng, phone!"

Gu Sheng wrapped a bath towel around himself and went to answer it.

"It's Wai Ting-bong. Got time?" Officer Wei's voice came over the phone.

"You called the moment I got back. Do you watch my place every day?" Gu Sheng asked with a laugh.

"That's what you get for being so high-profile. The news spread all over Hong Kong Island as soon as you came back," Officer Wei said with a laugh.

"Zhenghong Restaurant downstairs from my place. You know where it is, right? Come have a meal with me," Gu Sheng said casually.

"That open about it?" Wai Ting-bong blurted out.

Though he had met Gu Sheng openly before, they still had to exercise some discretion.

By eating together, Gu Sheng was dispensing with discretion altogether.

"It's perfectly normal for me to deal with the police, isn't it? Who'd dare gossip?" Gu Sheng said with a grin.
