From a distance, Shui Ling's gaze sharpened as she watched several of her disciples die one after another.
Chang Shan was a renowned assassin, after all, and his fighting ability was certainly no joke.
Shang Tian, Si Hai, and Wu Kui were no weaklings either. Even if Qi Qiaoqiao was slightly weaker, she was still far beyond an ordinary street fighter.
Yet within just half a minute against LS, three of them had been beaten to death.
Carrying a katana, Shui Ling strode toward GS. As she drew closer, her steps quickened until she broke into a jog, her hand closing around the hilt.
GS seemed not to notice at all. He swept his spear and attacked Chang San.
Their brief exchange had already shown him that Chang San moved faster and struck harder than the others, with greater skill.
The spear in GS's hands flashed like lightning, its blur almost invisible as it reached Chang San in an instant. Chang San swung his saber repeatedly to parry.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
The blade and spearhead collided again and again.
But GS shook his spear, and Chang San's vision blurred. He could barely make out a mass of spear shadows, let alone where the tip was striking.
Alarm surged through him. Instinctively, he tilted his head and twisted aside, bringing his saber across to block.
Clang! The thrust passed almost flush against his chest.
Before Chang San could breathe a sigh of relief, GS slapped sideways with his forward hand. The shaft swayed right, then snapped back like a spring.
Smack!
A tremendous force traveled through Chang San's saber, driving him back three steps.
Before he could adjust his stance, another horizontal sweep came whistling through the air and struck him squarely across the abdomen.
Pain tore through Chang San's stomach.
