Sap Bat Chai had yet to choose a leader when the leaders of Wah Kee's other branches gathered again.
Each arrived at the teahouse with an entourage. As they got out of their cars, their bodyguards first blocked off the surrounding pedestrians, looking surprisingly professional.
Inside the teahouse, the bodyguards stood along the walls. The branch leaders exchanged looks, their expressions somewhat peculiar.
"Why all the bodyguards? That scared of dying? You even had people clearing the way when you got out. Anyone who didn't know better would think you were some big official!"
"You're doing the same thing!"
"Fuck, is Hongxing determined to fight us to the death? Are they never going to stop?" someone demanded, slamming the table.
The people from Wah Kee's various branches were practically bursting with fury.
Sap Bat Chai hadn't even chosen its leader before Hongxing's men shot him dead again.
"Hasn't it been that way for ages? Hongxing's Handsome Sheng goes too far. He leaves no room at all. Keep this up, and he'll meet a bad end sooner or later!"
"Can you curse him to death sitting here? What a load of crap!"
"What the fuck is wrong with you today?"
Within a few exchanges, the branch leaders were arguing among themselves.
"What are you arguing about? You're all getting on in years, and you're still so hotheaded? Hongxing hasn't even come at us yet, and you're already fighting among yourselves! Want to have a fight?" Kalasu, the leader of Small Wah Kee, glared at them.
The two men exchanged a sheepish look. One took out a pipe, while the other took out a cigar and lit it.
"Hongxing really has gone too far!" Wangbiao, the leader of Four Lung, said sullenly.
Nobody spoke. Hongxing's men hadn't just started going too far.
