Heinrich turned over a card. The number on it was 20.
Gu Sheng picked up a card with a cold sneer and slapped it onto the table.
One glance made him want to flip the table.

Gu Sheng turned toward Ahmed beside him, his eyebrows knitting together, his hands itching to move.
"How can this be so ridiculous? He beat me all three times? I fucking suspect you people are cheating!"
As he spoke, Gu Sheng turned over the cards on his side of the table one by one. 18... 15... 9... 19...
Every number from 1 to 20 was there.
Ahmed glanced at Gu Sheng, then said solemnly:
"Then the time is set for ten tomorrow morning, here at the church. The duel will be fought with firearms, to the death. In addition, each of you may bring one second. But I must remind you that the losing party's second will die as well."
"Fuck!" Gu Sheng reached out and flipped the table, sending the whole tabletop hurtling toward Heinrich.
Still seated, Heinrich kicked upward, sending the entire table back down exactly where it had been.
"Spend tonight saying your goodbyes to this world!" Gu Sheng stood with a cold sneer, then suddenly thought of something and raised an eyebrow, looking somewhat puzzled.

Everyone's expressions were a sight to behold.
Most people present had assumed Gu Sheng and Heinrich already had a grudge. That would have been the logical explanation.
