The welcome banquet was at the hotel's Cantonese restaurant.
Gu Sheng got out of the car with Li Xinxin at the hotel entrance and saw Hon Ping waiting there.
"Brother Sheng, your girlfriend's gorgeous!" Hon Ping came forward when he saw Gu Sheng. These days, the Bosses were making more money, but the strength they commanded had shrunk considerably, and he had abandoned any ambition of becoming Leader.

After they exchanged a few pleasantries, Hon Ping asked, "Who are we receiving today?"
He had been summoned and only knew he was supposed to help Gu Sheng receive some guests. This was a first.
Gu Sheng clearly intended to introduce him to some people.
"Some elders from the North American Hongmen. They want to visit their hometowns, but they've been away for decades without going back once. The North has changed so much over those decades that they don't even know whether their hometowns are still there."
