Lin Ye helped Spirit Hall destroy Blood Bat’s operation, then followed Hu Liena to Spirit City to learn about his parents and become Spirit Hall’s Holy Son. At the academy, he drew the attention of Hu Liena’s admirers, and Yan challenged him to a fight.

• Shi Yue led Lawrence’s group into a clearing, where Lawrence betrayed them and joined Blood Bat’s Evil Soul Masters before Spirit Hall’s Soul Saints and Soul Emperors attacked.
• Ivory used her Ghost Fox Martial Soul Avatar to disable the fighters and escape with Blood Bat, while Lin Ye clung to Hu Liena as Blood Bat carried them to his mountain cave.
• Blood Bat showed Lin Ye the Blood Devouring Vine and explained his plan to help Blood Infant reach Titled Douluo, but Lin Ye defeated him, drained his power, and killed him with the vine.
• Lin Ye destroyed the Blood Devouring Vine, burned the cave’s remains, and rescued Hu Liena, then returned with her and the Brute Bear Soul Hunting Group to Evernight City.
• Hu Liena brought Lin Ye to Spirit City, where Bibi Dong told him about his parents, revealed that his father was Lin Tian and his mother was Ye Zhixin, and appointed him Spirit Hall’s Holy Son.
• Hu Liena enrolled Lin Ye in Spirit Hall Advanced Soul Master Academy’s Genius Class, where he defeated Xia Hu without summoning his Martial Soul and later gained Xie Yue’s support.
• Yan challenged Lin Ye to a fight over Hu Liena after class, offering to suppress his strength and use only two soul skills.

Lin Ye defeated Yan, helped Spirit Hall hunt Blood Infant, and survived three years of training in Death Canyon alongside Hu Liena and their friends. After reaching level fifty, he agreed to Bibi Dong’s plan to enter the Continental Advanced Spirit Master Academy Elite Tournament alone and reveal his identity after winning.

• Lin Ye defeated Yan without initially summoning his Martial Soul, then revealed the Nine Spirit Immortal Begonia and won Yan’s concession and the students’ recognition.
• Lin Ye moved into a courtyard near the Pontiff Palace, gave Bibi Dong the blood-drop medium that could help locate Blood Infant, and reached level thirty over the following six months.
• Lin Ye joined Hu Liena, Xie Yue, and Yan on the year-end assessment in Guhe Town, where they hunted Evil Soul Masters and followed Ziluo’s plea for help into Blood Infant’s trap.
• Lin Ye and Hu Liena purified Blood Infant’s remnant soul, but the Soul King pursued them, so Lin Ye stayed behind to fight while Hu Liena fled after confessing her love.
• Lin Ye killed Blood Infant with the Xuanyuan Sword and devoured his soul, then reunited with Hu Liena and returned to Spirit City with proof of the kill.

Lin Ye traveled with Golden Crocodile Douluo to the Star Dou Forest, where he gained a fifth soul skill, helped Golden Crocodile Douluo temper his Soul Power, and rescued Zhu Zhuqing from her pursuers. In Suotuo City, Lin Ye reunited with Xie Lin, competed at the Soto Great Spirit Arena, and rejected Dai Mubai’s attempt at friendship after defeating Ma Hongjun.

• Bibi Dong revealed to Qian Daoliu that Lin Ye was the son of the lord who had once defeated him and the intended husband of Xue'er, then arranged for Golden Crocodile Douluo to accompany Lin Ye on a mission.
• Lin Ye absorbed a Diamond Overlord Tiger’s black Soul Ring, gained the Diamond Overlord Body skill, and used the Fallen Heart Flame to help Golden Crocodile Douluo loosen his cultivation bottleneck.
• Tangyuan led Lin Ye and Golden Crocodile Douluo to the wounded Zhu Zhuqing, whom Lin Ye healed before protecting her from the Black Widow Soul Hunting Group hired by the Nether Grand Duke's Mansion.
• Zhu Zhuqing joined Lin Ye on the journey to Suotuo City, explaining her rivalry with Zhu Zhuyun and her plan to find Dai Mubai, while Lin Ye offered her his protection.
• Lin Ye reunited with Xie Lin and Su Ying at the Phantom Shadow Tavern, and the group toured Suotuo City and bought Illusion Dream Flower Brew despite Ning Rongrong’s attempt to take Lin Ye’s cup.
• At the Soto Great Spirit Arena, Zhu Zhuqing defeated the Beast King Combination, and Lin Ye’s boosts helped Xie Lin defeat the Slay Absolute Combination in their team match.
• Lin Ye registered in disguise as Sword One, defeated Evil Eye White Tiger in a Soul Elder match, and then learned Ma Hongjun wanted Dai Mubai to avenge his loss.
• Dai Mubai backed away from his promise to help Ma Hongjun when Lin Ye confronted them, and Lin Ye refused Dai Mubai’s friendship while warning him to stop Ma Hongjun from harassing women.

Lin Ye took Zhu Zhuqing to Shrek Academy, where he exposed the danger and poor conditions of its trials before defeating Zhao Wuji. After Zhu Zhuqing learned the truth about Dai Mubai and chose to leave, Lin Ye confronted Flender to protect her escape.

• Lin Ye rescued Ning Rongrong from Bule, Old Goose, and Tianya, then told Zhu Zhuqing what he had heard about Dai Mubai’s behavior.
• Lin Ye brought Zhu Zhuqing to Shrek Academy, where she reunited with Dai Mubai and joined Tang San, Xiao Wu, and Ning Rongrong in the entrance trials.
• During Zhao Wuji’s final test, Lin Ye healed the injured applicants, then fought Zhao Wuji until the instructor admitted he was wrong and accepted their passage.
• Golden Crocodile Douluo identified Xiao Wu as a transformed Hundred-Thousand-Year Soft Bone Charm Rabbit, but Lin Ye refused to let anyone kill her and asked him to keep her identity from Spirit Hall.
• Zhu Zhuqing used Tangyuan to overhear Dai Mubai explain that their engagement was political and that he had fled a succession struggle, then decided she wanted nothing more to do with him.
• When Zhu Zhuqing tried to withdraw from Shrek Academy, Flender refused to let her leave, so Lin Ye intervened and punched Flender out of the sky as he pursued her.
