The arc ended with Lin Ye reuniting with Shrek Academy and discovering that Xiao Wu had returned from the Star Dou Forest.

• Lin Ye left Shrek Academy, helped Zhu Zhuqing reach Soul Elder in the Star Dou Forest, and secured her Phantom Mantis soul ring despite Meng Shu’s claim to the beast.
• Lin Ye earned Meng Shu’s loyalty by offering the Dragon Snake Family help and revealing his identity as Spirit Hall’s Holy Son.
• Lin Ye followed Er Ming to the forest’s core, confronted Da Ming and Er Ming over Xiao Wu’s safety, and persuaded them to protect her, though Xiao Wu still wanted to return to Tang San.

In the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, he distributed rare herbs that evolved his companions’ Martial Souls, then secured their Soul Rings and strengthened his own abilities.

• Ye Zhilan urged Lin Ye to take responsibility for Zhu Zhuqing and Meng Yiran, and told him how Lin Tian had fought his way into the Nine Heart Begonia Clan to be with Ye Zhixin.
• Lin Ye beat Ye Mo for harassing Ye Lingling, then defeated Ye Lin and fought off Ye Kaishan until Yue Zhong arrived and stopped the attack.
• Golden Crocodile Douluo crippled Ye Kaishan, and Lin Ye left with Ye Lingling, Zhu Zhuqing, and Meng Yiran for Heaven Dou Royal Academy.
• Lin Ye halted Dugu Bo’s confrontation with Shrek Academy by revealing his Nine Spirit Immortal Begonia and asking Dugu Bo to spare them.

He assembled a tournament team from Tianxing Academy and the Nine Heart Begonia Clan, then recognized Tang San’s hidden weapon at an auction.

• Lin Ye completed six rounds of Ice and Fire Body Tempering, reached Soul Power Level sixty, and flew to the Star Dou Forest to hunt a soul beast.
