Mu You and the two women walked along the city streets.
The city's layout was remarkably orderly. Square main roads divided it into countless districts, and within each district, intersecting branches formed numerous square streets. Viewed from above, every street and building formed neat squares, symmetrical in every direction. No matter how one looked at it, it resembled the work of a geometrician with obsessive-compulsive disorder.
Aside from that, the most striking sights in the city were the humanoid sculptures scattered among the buildings.
These were not statues of gods or heroes, but likenesses of ordinary residents who had once lived in the city. Dressed in simple or extravagant clothes, they performed all sorts of work, brimming with the texture of everyday life.
Their only common feature was that every statue had a statue of a flying mount beside it.
That was easy enough to understand. This was Sky City, after all, floating high in the sky year-round. Every resident living here must have had a flying mount.
"Boss, which way do we go?" After resting for a while, Xiao Ya's seasickness had improved considerably. She looked around curiously as she asked Mu You.
"According to the map, we should head straight west now... but this is a mirror world. Let's try east first..." Mu You said after some thought.
This place was supposedly hidden within the Star Spirit World's "reflection." Since Dawn City's map had the normal orientation relative to the Evil Spirit Sea in the Star Spirit World, the directions on the map should be reversed once they entered this inverted world.
The three headed straight down the eastbound main road.
But before they had walked far, all three noticed something wrong.
"Haven't we been here before?" Xiao Ya asked uncertainly as she looked at the rather familiar
