Mu You had his attack ready, but a voice suddenly told him to stop, giving a reason he could not ignore.
Mu You had no choice but to select "Cancel attack."
[You canceled the Little Fireball Spell and teleported backward, putting distance between yourself and the two caterpillars.] [Only after retreating to safety did you turn around. Beneath a small tree nearby, you spotted a fairy girl no bigger than your palm. She hid most of her body behind the tree, cautiously peeking out at you.] [The fairy had blue hair and green eyes. She wore a white hat and a blue-and-white dress, and a pair of broad, butterfly-like wings grew from her back. The wings were white in the center, with rippling sky-blue edges. Altogether, the fairy looked like a butterfly hovering in midair.] [Despite her pleasing colors, you noticed considerable dust and grime on the fairy girl's face and body. Her once clean, beautiful wings were also covered in scars and gaps, greatly spoiling their beauty.] [The two caterpillars you had shaken off in the distance were already roaring as they wriggled toward you again.] ["There's no time! If you don't mind, please use my pollen..." The fairy girl took a transparent bottle off her person and tossed it to you.] [You instinctively caught the miniature bottle and examined it. It was slightly less than half full of flower powder, but gave off a rather pungent smell, as though it contained something inauspicious.] [The fairy girl gestured for you to sprinkle the pollen on yourself. You chose...] [Trust her. This fairy looked like a good person.] [Politely refuse. Something this pungent clearly wasn't normal.]
Of the two options, Mu You immediately chose "Trust her," though he first took the Pocket Watch in his hand.
