The Aldecaldos, one of the seven Nomad nations, were a Nomad clan whose population had once reached over a million at their peak.

This group wasn't actually as poor and vicious as city folk seemed to think. On the whole, they were more like people who refused to give up their barren land or the freedom of running beneath the sun.

In 2013, Rogue, who would later become the Queen of the Afterlife, was still a mercenary. She charged into Arasaka Tower with Johnny Silverhand, aiming to rescue a hacker named Alt.

But the operation failed. Alt wasn't rescued. The good news was that although they hadn't achieved their objective, they managed to get out safely.

After escaping, Rogue chose to lie low in Mexico, and it was during this time that she came into contact with the Aldecaldos.

Rogue's partner back in her mercenary days was named Santiago. His knowledge of the Badlands and the Nomads helped the two of them successfully integrate into the Nomads.

With the Aldecaldos' help, Rogue and Santiago evaded Arasaka's pursuit and successfully disappeared.

After that, Santiago chose to stay with the clan.

After many experiences, Santiago became the Aldecaldos' second leader and largely established the clan's system of social division of labor.

Different clans were mainly responsible for different fields. For example, the Wolfpack clan handled combat, while the Brian Family took care of farming and logistics, among other things.

This method of dividing labor, similar to the way things worked in cities, greatly improved the clans' efficiency. The Aldecaldos became the strongest clan among the seven nations.

Rogue chose to return to Night City, and in 2023 took part in Militech's Decapitation Plan against Arasaka, joining the attack as part of one of the squads.
