The hacker in the Access Pod began to tremble violently. As the lights flickered, the connection was severed.

A Black woman suddenly rose from the ice water in the freezer on the table, bringing a cloud of mist with her.
Beside her stood a burly Black man with a brooding look in his eyes. Seeing his boss emerge from the deep dive, he handed her the clothes in his hands:
"How did it go? Did you find anything useful?"
"The data fortress was very solid, but he couldn't move either. Besides that, I found a few interesting things. NetWatch seems to be looking for reinforcements.
"Aside from that bunch of brainless Animals, they've found reinforcements again."
"Still brainless?"
"No." Brigitte climbed out of the freezer, ice water dripping from her netrunner suit. She took the clothes from her subordinate and headed for another room.
"This time it's a hacker. Probably a newcomer. Send someone to find him. Watson, North District, Super Skyscraper H11."
"We're short on people, and we still have to watch out for the Animals. We'll have to find an In-Betweener."
Brigitte stopped and thought for a moment. "Don't go to Hands. That old fatty is coming back. Give him a chance and help pave the way for him. We might need him later."
"Okay."
"So you burned the place down while you were home."
V and Lier were neighbors, so she got to enjoy a power outage too.
The over five thousand eddies she had to pay the property management were a small matter. The key thing was that the Access Pod had burned down too, along with a whole pile of equipment.
Lier nodded obediently. "Can't be helped.
