Dogtown's Cyberspace was not very large, but it was dense and quite complex.
Hackers active here would see numerous twisted Data Fortresses, flickering endlessly like buggy programs. Their data structures were almost unreadable, looking as disorderly as ordinary data tumors.
In a relatively safe and normal Cyberspace, hackers might be keen to tinker with these data spores and try their luck; there might be valuable data inside.
But in Dogtown, apart from the Voodoo Boys, almost no hackers would mess with this stuff-
The data here was complex. Some hackers tried to rummage through it with that sort of idea in mind, but most of them would suffer counterattacks from military-grade ICE.
Because even Hansen, who had occupied this place, wasn't sure how many secrets it held.
These hackers avoided Dogtown's data spores, using their relatively crude skills and inferior equipment to set up their own Networks and Servers. Then, when one day they felt they had grown strong enough, they would start trying to make contact with them, slowly honing their skills and hoping to reach a higher level someday.
But today, the hackers saw a sight they would never forget:
Data that could be decoded by a Cyberware Demodulator tended to be bright blue, while logical programs and Firmware took on a certain shape, generally matching human thought and imagination.
Dogtown's data leaned more toward dark colors, like a lifeless ancient ruin.
At a large venue like Luxor Sports Academy, signals were transmitted over transcontinental cables, so the place itself would not appear in Cyberspace. However, as hackers launched wireless attacks, the scattered wireless signals appeared in Cyberspace, and contact with them exposed the entire Data Fortress of Luxor Sports Academy in the public space.
A massive Data Fortress appeared in Cyberspace. It looked incomparably intricate; even from
