When this world first came into being, there were no ghosts.
The struggle between the Red and White Pupils created this world.
To reclaim the Spirit Pupils, they could only stir up humanity's fear. The fear of death and the unknown was etched deep into human genes.
What was both unknown and capable of bringing death?
They searched through human memories and discovered ghosts, beings that defied all logic.
And so, the first ghost... was born.
But as the first ghost they had created, he produced unexpected results in many ways.
For instance... "Bai Yang" developed self-awareness.
He was often confused about his own identity. Bai Yang had begun asking "What exactly am I?" long before Qin Manjiang did.
Despite possessing all manner of incredible abilities, he had absolutely no idea why he should take human lives.
To the original "Bai Yang," humans were like weeds growing by the roadside. Although he could easily trample them, "Bai Yang" could find no reason to do so. To him, none of it had any meaning.
As the first creation of the Red and White Pupils, "Bai Yang" was undoubtedly a failure.
Though he had developed self-awareness and learned to think independently, all the Red and White Pupils wanted was a tool for reclaiming Spirit Pupils. They had no need for a new "life."
"Bai Yang's" nonconformity and rebellion had even become obstacles instead.
And so, they took back "Bai Yang's" supernatural powers and casually exiled him to this prisonlike world.
They had never expected...
After they fell asleep, although Bai Yang had lost his supernatural abilities, his immortality as a "ghost" remained.
He went through one cycle after another in the human world, witnessing countless Ghost Story Games unfold.
Gradually, he finally found the path he should take...
"Before clearing one Ghost
