"What's wrong?"
Hu Feifei looked a little bewildered, but she was alert enough to move away from the piece of dried meat immediately, as though it might explode.
Xia Nan's voice also caught Qin Manjiang and Lin Ruonan's attention, and both looked at him.
"This is human flesh."
Xia Nan kept it brief.
But the moment he finished speaking, Hu Feifei and Lin Ruonan went pale.
The two women had just been thinking about making meat soup. Now, hearing what Xia Nan said, their imaginations ran wild, as though they could see a head bobbing in boiling water.
"Urgh..." Hu Feifei couldn't help retching. She looked at Xia Nan in disbelief. "But... doesn't all meat look the same once it's cut up like this? Could you have mistaken it...?"
"He's a forensic doctor," Qin Manjiang said.

"Can you tell how long this piece of meat has been here?" Qin Manjiang asked.
Xia Nan moved closer to the meat on the wall and examined it carefully. "For it to have dried out this much, given the environmental conditions on Snow Mountain, it's been at least a week."

Had the owner made the dried meat on the wall?
Had he killed that person?
