Was it the little girl's dream?
Qin Manjiang was about to think it over when he heard a dense patter of footsteps in the fog. Along with them came a woman clutching a sketchbook.
Fear had finally appeared on her face. When she saw Qin Manjiang, a flicker of excitement entered her eyes.
"The locals have all turned half pig, half human! They ate Liang Yue and Wang Million, and they're coming into the fog. It's coming for us!"
Although Swimming Fish was panicked and no longer spoke as concisely or coherently as before, she still gave a fairly complete account of the situation.
Connecting this with the newspaper's contents, Qin Manjiang more or less understood what had happened.
"Don't just stand there. Come on!"
Swimming Fish spoke urgently, running past Qin Manjiang and deeper into the fog.
"They have a keen sense of smell. If we stay in one place, they'll definitely find us and catch up!"
There was plenty of fear in Swimming Fish's voice.
"Come on!"
She called to Qin Manjiang, who was still taking his time.
Qin Manjiang glanced at her, then suddenly caught up with her in a few strides. He handed her the newspaper and said, "Read this first."
Swimming Fish scanned it quickly and saw the report about the pig farm accident.
"The little girl who was eaten by pigs?"
As she spoke, she could not help looking back again.
Qin Manjiang seemed unafraid of those "Pig People" catching up, even though they were so fast... and had such keen noses.
As though he had no idea what she was worried about, Qin Manjiang shook his head at her words. "No. I found this newspaper because a shadow led me to it. Judging by its outline, that looked more like a child."
