Qin Manjiang and the other Players entered Seven Children, where they uncovered clues that the seven children might be fragments of One and that the mountain held the truth behind their memories. After Lin Ruonan died and Wu Tiansheng returned injured, Qin Manjiang led the survivors toward the summit, where they found a figure inside a snow cave.

• Qin Manjiang joined six Players in Seven Children and discovered that their roles and invitations pointed them toward a mountain where their memories and actions were controlled by plot enactments.
• Qin Manjiang and the group split up during the storm, and Abyss stole the energy bars and abandoned the others while Qin Manjiang, Lin Ruonan, Hu Feifei, and Xia Nan reached a cabin.
• Chen Xin and Wu Tiansheng found the body of the woman the children called Mom, and Chen Xin suspected their shared memories had been altered after discovering the corpse had been stripped of flesh.
• Xia Nan identified the dried meat in the other cabin as human flesh, while Qin Manjiang saw a fourteen-legged Spider Woman and Lin Ruonan described a colossal skeletal ghost at the summit.
• Qin Manjiang proposed that One had been the original child and that the seven children were parts of One’s personality, then read One’s diary with Xia Nan and learned he had gone into the mountain searching for his missing sister.

Qin Manjiang and the others uncovered how [One] moved between the Seven Children and helped Wu Tiansheng reach Snow Summit, where a colossal ghost remained standing after the game was cleared. Back in the real world, Qin Manjiang returned to Fu City to investigate the Eye Realms and Guanyin Lake, while Zhong Xueran became trapped by a red-umbrella woman.

• Qin Manjiang and Abyss concluded that [One] had distorted the Seven Children’s memories, while Chen Xin revealed that touching Mom’s corpse had transferred a lingering chill to Wu Tiansheng.
• Hu Feifei walked toward Spider Woman and was beheaded, and Qin Manjiang later reasoned that the players occupied nested mental worlds and that Spider Woman was tied to the way out.
• Qin Manjiang and Chen Xin discovered that touching corpses let [One] move between hosts, and Qin Manjiang drew [One] into himself by touching a piece of flesh.

Qin Manjiang investigated Guanyin Flat Lake, learned that Yi Lianhai had made Abyss, and entered the Ghost Story Game’s “Hide-and-Seek” scenario to rescue Li Xijiu. He escaped the burning cinema but lost Li Xijiu, then discovered Qin Manyi had lost her memories and was suspected of murder, leaving him to investigate her past and ask Xi Wutong whether she believed in ghosts.

• Qin Manjiang explored Guanyin Flat Lake, where the Fisherman pursued the drowned villagers and Long Sen was pulled underwater by a female ghost.
• Qin Manjiang named Abyss Yi Yu after learning that Yi Lianhai had made him, and Zhong Xueran escaped the Red Umbrella Woman by finding its grave on Moon Slope.
• Qin Manjiang and his companions entered the Eye Realm, where the eighth Spirit Pupil Dark Spot began the “Hide-and-Seek” Ghost Story.
• Qin Manjiang contacted Li Xijiu through the past and entered Threshold Cinema’s game, where he and Li Xijiu evaded the Tall Wraith and uncovered the story of the father and son who died in the fire.
• Qin Manjiang recognized the last restroom stall’s window as the escape route, but Li Xijiu fused with the ghosts and threw him to safety before the theater exploded.
• Qin Manjiang learned that Li Xijiu’s DNA did not match the cinema victims, filed a missing-person report, and heard that Qin Manyi had awakened and was suspected of murder.
• Qin Manjiang found Qin Manyi unable to recognize him and told Xi Wutong he would retrieve her memories, while Xi Wutong arranged to meet him after noticing the Ghost Story Game on his phone.

Qin Manjiang and the other players entered Xianyang Village, where a festival ritual and the Immortal Sheep’s wishes trapped them among murderous ghosts. Liu Jingqing became the Immortal Sheep to grant Li Rong’s wish, and Qin Manjiang challenged the true source of the danger until the game destroyed it and marked Sick Sheep cleared.

• Qin Manjiang joined Shi Lianshan, Liu Jingqing, He Jian, and Chen Ping on their way to Xianyang Village, where a barrier sealed the players inside and villagers prepared them for the Sheep Transformation Festival.
• Qin Manjiang and Liu Jingqing investigated the village’s ritual and deaths, while Li Rong’s ghost and the possessed Chen Ping attacked the players and villagers.
• Chen Ping trapped Shi Lianshan and He Jian in the Ancestral Hall, granted Shi Lianshan’s wish to leave alive, and mutilated him before He Jian escaped.
• Li Rong killed Wang Ju, then Zhong Xueran arrived and explained that the village’s ritual summoned the Immortal Sheep into human vessels using a writing brush.
• Qin Manjiang sent the others to draw the ghosts away while Liu Jingqing used the Writing Brush to break the Silent Domain and uncover the Sheep Immortal’s true form.
• Liu Jingqing put on the Sheep Horns and Sheepskin and became the Immortal Sheep, then wished that Li Rong could have her wish.
• Li Rong seized Chen Ping and Green Vine and dragged them into a fissure, while Zhong Xueran escaped and Liu Jingqing collapsed.
• Qin Manjiang challenged the black sheep he identified as the true source of danger, proved its wish-granting power had failed, and watched the Ghost Story Game destroy it and declare Sick Sheep cleared.
