Qin Manjiang and Yi Lianhai confronted Bai Yang as the world collapsed, and Bai Yang revealed that he had gathered the spirit pupils and made himself a god through the Snow Mountain Giant Ghost. He disclosed that he was the Giant Ghost—and the world’s first ghost—leaving Qin Manjiang and Yi Lianhai stunned.

Li Xijiu revealed that he had become a Ghost Story and sent Yi Lianhai back; as the White Pupil God began to collapse, a blood-red figure appeared and empowered Shen Hai and Qin Manjiang.

• Qin Manjiang offered Shen Hai the choice of sending the unconscious player phantoms to another world or becoming a vessel for Qin Manjiang and the White Pupil God, and Shen Hai chose the vessel.
• Yi Lianhai realized the New World was rejecting his Red Pupil Power and decided to give it up, but Li Xijiu revealed he had survived within him and could hear his thoughts.
• Li Xijiu explained that he had become a Ghost Story, revealed that the paused Cinema at 36 South Sky Road still existed, and commanded Yi Lianhai to go back.
• Qin Manjiang merged with Shen Hai, and their White Pupil God froze the surroundings and Bai Yang while approaching the Giant Eye.
• As the White Pupil God began to disintegrate, a fissure opened in the sky and a blood-red figure entered Shen Hai’s body, restoring strength to him and Qin Manjiang.

Li Xijiu joined Qin Manjiang and Shen Hai to unleash the ghosts of Threshold Cinema against Bai Yang, but Jiang Du warned that destroying Bai Yang would doom the world unless someone absorbed his power. Qin Manjiang, Shen Hai, Li Xijiu, and the sheltered souls chose to sacrifice themselves, and the story ended with the world renewed and a doll found by Yue Xu.

• Li Xijiu opened a path to Threshold Cinema and unleashed its vengeful ghosts, allowing Qin Manjiang, Shen Hai, and Li Xijiu to attack Bai Yang with the Red and White Pupils’ power.
