Sylvanas stood on a small hill with her bow in hand, watching the retreating crowd below and staying alert for anyone trying to cause trouble. Not far away, Jaina and her assistants were organizing the evacuation, while the Theramore Guard who had come with them helped out as well. The Female Elf did not want to interrupt Jaina's work at a time like this, but she had to say it—their pace was far too slow.
"Jaina, we need to move faster."
The mage turned her gaze toward her, showing that she had heard. Her lips moved, and Sylvanas immediately heard her voice.
"We cannot rush too much. That will only make the crowd panic and become uncontrollable. Order is more important than speed."
Sylvanas sighed and nodded. Jaina had more experience with evacuations than she did, and she had to admit it.
Everyone in the passageway carried bags and bundles, while some even dragged carts behind them. Sylvanas could not understand why, at such a critical moment between life and death, these people still insisted on bringing so many things. Food, she could understand—but what was the point of the money and jewelry she saw?
Just as Sylvanas was considering dragging every last one of those people out and throwing them into the sea, a disturbance in the sky caught her attention. A hippogryph was diving down. To avoid frightening the civilians, its rider chose to land in the open space by the stables.
Baine jumped from the hippogryph's back and ran toward Jaina. Sylvanas ran over as well. Baine had been sent to scout the situation at sea, and the urgency in her expression gave Sylvanas a bad feeling.
"Make way! Move!" Sylvanas weaved through the crowd, pausing to help a farmer pick up goods scattered across the ground.
