Those slaves had labored hard for an entire day. Construction had accelerated. The Iron Horde had stationed heavy guards around the Dark Portal, with at least ten overseers watching every stage of the work. The slaves were allowed to wipe the sweat from their brows, but any unnecessary movement earned them a whipping. Unfortunately, the day the Dark Portal was completed would also be the day they died. Garrosh intended to use Gul'dan's power to open a path to Azeroth.

Sin Slayer stood atop a mountain peak. Tanaan's weather was excellent during the day, and everything within sight was clearly visible—Orcs and Draenei at work. Their sweat-slick skin gleamed beneath the scorching sunlight beating down on this land. They were Draenei and Frostwolf Orcs!

Garrosh was skilled at making use of his enemies' value. So far, Sin Slayer had not seen a single slave tortured to death out of malice, aside from those who had collapsed beneath unbearable burdens. Rather than killing them, Garrosh wanted to use their souls to fuel the Dark Portal.

On each of the slabs to either side, the faint outline of a hooded figure could be seen, entwined with some sort of serpentine pattern.

For the first time in three days, Nathanos and Alexstrasza had split up. He was responsible for contacting the Draenei leadership, while the Lifebinder often spoke with Draenei civilians.
