When Alexstrasza awoke, she found herself lying in a wooden cabin. A warm fire crackled nearby, driving the cold from her body. Other than that, Alexstrasza saw nothing. The cloak sewn for her still covered her, but the one who had sewn it was nowhere to be seen.
Footsteps sounded outside, and the flames obscured her view. Alexstrasza tried to sit up, but she had not regained much strength and could only turn her head.
As the footsteps drew closer, the newcomer looked at her and smiled. "You're awake? In Frostfire Ridge, being bitten by a Rhino Lurker is worse than being surrounded by a pack of wolves." The other woman looked at the wolf pelt on Alexstrasza, shook her head, then turned her gaze back to Alexstrasza. A trace of relief appeared in her eyes. "Still, it's fortunate you weren't alone. You had a companion who stood by you through thick and thin. He never abandoned you."
