"Eugh!"
Zhang Wen stared in disgust at what was flowing out beneath the head.
Lin Hao had not warned him beforehand, but that did not stop him from instinctively playing along.
Lin Hao prodded the severed head with his longsword. Under everyone's horrified gazes, he picked out a hard-shelled beetle with dozens of slender, threadlike tails.
The insect looked a little like a scorpion, with numerous abdominal legs.
Dozens of fine, hairlike tails also trailed behind its rear, making it look extremely bizarre.
As Lin Hao picked it out,
those fine but tough "tails" seemed to hook onto some of the nerves inside the cervical spine, pulling them out along with it.
"It seems my instincts weren't wrong. Professor, do you know what this is?"
Lin Hao asked curiously, looking as though he knew nothing about it.
After his initial fright, Jeremy Knight had no choice but to put on a monocle and examine it closely.
Then his expression grew even more horrified.
"The Zerg! This is a Zerg Brain-Eater recorded in the literature!"
"Oh? It's actually a Zerg? I sensed a rotten stench and something ominous about him. At first, I thought he was a Yōma-"
As Lin Hao asked questions and let the situation develop, he kept his attention on the other insects.
None of those insects showed any anxiety over their companion being exposed. They even controlled their bodies to display appropriately "surprised" expressions.
Lin Hao himself was now the boss of a small Zerg force. Naturally, he understood the logic behind their actions!
When Mother Bug issued orders, those orders took the highest priority. Even if she ordered the insects to die, they would do so without hesitation!
If Mother Bug gave no real-time instructions, they would follow their original mission.
